What is mobile banking?
An optimized version of the Bangor Online website, designed specifically for use on mobile devices. Since mobile banking is a website, there are no apps to download and the site will work across most mobile browsers.

Will I be charged for mobile banking?
Mobile banking is simply an optimized version of Bangor Online for your mobile device. There is no charge to use the mobile banking site, just like with the full version you would access from your computer, however data charges from your wireless carrier may apply. Please contact your wireless carrier for details.

How do I access mobile banking for Bangor Online?
When visiting Bangor Online on your mobile device, the website will automatically display the mobile version. You can also access it quickly by going to m.bangor.com.

Is a password needed for mobile banking?
Yes. From your mobile device, you log-in to mobile banking the same as you would the full website, using the same log-in information you do for the full website.

Is mobile banking available to all customers?
Any customer with a mobile device that has either an active data plan or wifi connection can use mobile banking.

Which mobile service providers support the Bangor Online mobile banking site?
The service works on all major mobile providers in the U.S., including but not limited to:

 

Alltel, AT&T, Cellular One (Dobson), Nextel, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Verizon Wireless, and Virgin Mobile

 

What will I see on the mobile banking site?
The mobile banking site provides access to your account and transaction history, Bangor BillPay, and allows you to make transfers.

Account Information on Mobile Banking  

 

How many transactions will I see?
Select an account name on the Accounts tab to view up to 15 transactions over the last 10 days. If more than 15 transactions occurred during that time period select the More history button to view the rest of your transactions.

Can I see transactions for a different time period?
Yes, use the Change Date Range 'to' and 'from' fields entering the date as mmddyyyy with no punctuation, then select the Go button to get the transactions.

Transfers on Mobile Banking  

 

What kinds of funds transfers are available?
On the transfer tab you can enter an immediate transfer between your accounts using the Transfer Now feature, or to schedule a transfer using the Schedule Transfer link.

Can I change or remove a scheduled transfer?
Yes you can do both. On the Schedule Transfer page use the Edit Scheduled Transfer link to make a change or the Delete Scheduled Transfer link to remove a future dated one-time transfer.

Bill Pay on Mobile Banking  

 

Why can’t I access the Bangor BillPay tab?
The Bangor BillPay tab is only enabled in mobile banking for registered BillPay users that have set up one or more payees. In order to register for BillPay, customers must access the full version of Bangor Online from a computer.

How do I pay a bill on mobile banking?
Select the BillPay tab and choose the Pay from account. Then select a payee name from the list, enter the amount of the payment and the date to send / deliver the payment (as mmddyyyy), and then select the Pay button. A confirmation message is then displayed, select OK (or Submit) to continue.

Are my challenge question answers case sensitive?
No, your challenge answers are not case sensitive, however they must be in the same format that was originally used (e.g., 1/2/10 is not the same as 01/02/2010 or Jan 2, 2010).

Is it safe to bank using the mobile website?
Yes. To protect your privacy, you are required to authenticate yourself, using the same information from the full website. All communication between your mobile device and the mobile banking server are encrypted. In addition, your passwords, answers to challenge questions and account information are never stored by the mobile device or in the mobile site.

What does the 'Remember this phone' checkbox do?
Selecting the Remember this phone checkbox activates extra security for your device so you don’t have to enter the security challenge questions when accessing the mobile site from that device.
